Certificate in Traumatic Brain Injury Studies
The TBI program was developed for educators, paraprofessionals, caregivers, parents and families.
Recent data show that, on average, approximately 1.7 million people sustain a traumatic brain injury annually in the United States. This program covers the unique knowledge of the core challenges associated with the neurology of open or closed head injuries resulting in impairments in one or more areas such as: cognition, language, memory, attention, reasoning, abstract thinking, judgement, problem solving, sensory, perceptual, and motor abilities, psychological behavior, physical functions, information processing, and speech. Transition from hospital/home instruction for appropriate community reintegration along with knowledge that the individual is recovering and will make changes in these areas is vital for appropriate service delivery. The Program is equivalent to 120 hours of contact time, self paced, online, accessible at your convenience. EMAIL HERE US TO FIND OUT MORE |
